Professional Highlights:

Italy-born-and-raised and NYC-based guitar player, producer, and composer Michele Romeo has always had a fine ear for music since an early age. When he was only 4 years old, his parents gifted him a present that would be a life-changing milestone: his very first guitar.

That is when his fascination not only for music but for playing itself blossomed to never go away. He formally started to study guitar at the age of 10 and, shortly after, he began attending the Centro Formazione Musicale in Palermo to enrich his knowledge and to start mastering the instrument professionally.

At 13 years old he started dealing with a particular eye condition which led him to lose his sight at the age of 18. Nonetheless, this did not scratch his will to pursue his main goals in life. This is why, while dedicating himself to music (he composed his very first song in 2008), in 2012 he decided to move to Milan to attend IULM University, where he studied English and Spanish translation. In that same year, Michele started to work on his very first album, Leaves, which was released on December 2014 and presented at the renowned Feltrinelli Music Stores in Palermo right upon its release.

In 2015 he graduated and in that same year, he made his first appearance on national Italian TV as a guest on the show “A sua immagine” hosted by Lorena Bianchetti, where he discussed the correlation between music and spirituality according to his very personal experience.

The life experience in Milan not only gave Michele the chance to considerably mature as a person, but it also was an essential turning point for his career: in fact, at the end of his successful university path, he decided to dedicate his life to music and never look back again. This is when he began to focus on fulfilling one of his lifelong goals: moving to the United States and work as a professional musician.

In 2016, Michele gained a scholarship to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. Before taking the plunge, he spent a whole year in his homeland, Sicily, where he found the right inspiration to compose and record the tracks for his second album, Savage Land. While in Sicily, Michele also had the chance to get prepared for his experience at Berklee by studying with renowned Sicilian guitar masters Michele Pantaleo, Francesco Buzzurro, and Osvaldo Lo Iacono.

In 2017 Michele finally moved to Boston and began attending the Berklee College of Music. The Boston experience was a great opportunity for him to meet and play with many talented musicians and masters from the most different backgrounds. This eventually led him to grow a lot as a musician and to find new pathways in his approach to the instrument.

Berklee was also a great gateway for Michele to access the world of music production, allowing him to add the skills of a mixing engineer on top of the musician ones. Among his many learning experiences, he participated in several Master Classes with important guitar Masters like Steve Vai, Jennifer Batten, Andrea Braido, Massimo Varini, and Ciro Manna.

In 2022 Michele settled down in New York City and he started composing and producing his own projects and tracks, among which Brookline, Herbert Street, Space Fantasy and I Do Like You But.
